Hello

At age 20, I ended up moving to Maine, where I created an amazing life and fostered amazing friendships. Still, a few years ago, I found myself at a dead-end job in behavioral health where I became completely burnt out. My enthusiastic personality traits suffered, and I wasn't happy. I thought back to what really intrigued me and stumbled upon the school for esthetics.  Although it felt risky, I decided to follow my intuition and passion for once and started at Spa Tech a few months later. 

 

Unfortunately, as I approached graduation in March 2020, the Covid-19 pandemic went into full swing, and school was put on immediate hold. I felt impatient upon finally graduating several months later, so I found a job right away with a popular establishment that specializes in waxing. I loved waxing in school and figured working there would be a great experience.  Luckily, it was and I gained speed waxing skills. Not long after, a unique opportunity was presented to me to go out on my own. I was terrified, only being a licensed esthetician for a total of 6 months and during a pandemic. It was a major financial risk, but I was willing to take it, and I’m so glad I did. I always tell everyone to push that fear away and go for it, so I finally took my own advice.

 

In February 2024, I celebrated 3 years in business as Caits Cosmetic Care, LLC. I never thought I would become a business owner, much less a successful one!  I can’t take nearly all the credit though.  Much is owed to my immensely supportive past and current clients, mentors, friends and family. I have learned more about myself these past 3 years than ever before. I also came to know that burnout is real, and it’s important I practice self-care. You can catch me outside of work at OrangeTheory exercising, hot yoga or walking the beach with my dog Chanel. It took my clients' support until I started to realize 3 years later, I'm actually excellent at my craft because I truly love what I do. This journey in esthetics has taught me way more than just the superficial side of things. We all have our insecurities and try to show up for ourselves each and every day, even when life gets tough. Women, we run the world. I am here to say I see you, I hear you, and I am here to show nothing but love and admiration every day I'm in the studio. I'm far from perfect, but I show up every day to hopefully bring a smile to all of your beautiful faces. That is my mission statement for Caits Cosmetics Care.
